Having A Self Trigger Point Massage

As the muscles catches severely at these points, the trigger point pain can move to the muscles across it. The people can experience more trigger points if left untreated.
1. Find out the trigger points to start the massage. The trigger point can be felt by moving the fingers along a muscle. Keep moving with this tightness till the spots are located which tender to the touch.
2. Concentrate on single pressure point while doing the self-massage which can relieve the stress on the trigger points.
3. Feel the muscle to know the direction of fibers to stroke the muscle using the fingertips or thumbs. If you are unable to find the direction reduce the trigger pain with kneading, or a circular massage stroke.
4. The pressure point must be left alone after massaging it with 12 kneading strokes. Continue the same process on the next day also because trigger points can respond well to frequent treatments.
