Tubal Pregnancy and its details

A tubal pregnancy is usually known as an ectopic pregnancy and it happens when a fertilized egg implants in one of the fallopian tubes leading to a serious condition.

1. Most of the ectopic pregnancies occur when the fertilized egg is blocked or slowed down when it moves through fallopian tubes. Scarring from the last ectopic pregnancies, surgeries, infections or swelling from diseases are the usual causes of tubal pregnancies.

2. The treatment relies on how far the women is in her pregnancy, the health care provider will take blood test to check the hormone hCG levels in the blood and give an ultrasound and a pelvic exam to exclude a tubular pregnancy.

3. The usual signs of symptoms of tubal pregnancy are abnormal vaginal bleeding, dizziness or fainting, a sharp pain in abdomen or shoulder area because of internal bleeding.

4. The opportunities of occurring ectopic pregnancy are more if the women over the age of 35 previously had ectopic pregnancies or are using IUD contraception.

5. If the women find the signs or symptoms of ectopic pregnancy, they must immediately contact the health care provider for her own safety.
