Women with menopause will face lot of changes physically as well as mentally and one usual change is gaining weight. Weight gain is caused by hormonal shifts and not through excessive calories. There are few simple methods that can be followed to stay thin during a menopause.

1. Go to a doctor to have a regular checkup. If the weight goes out of control, the doctor can do few testing to find out the inability to lose weight.

2. Have a healthy diet and eat fruits, vegetables and whole grains. This will help you to control your weight and stay thin.

3. Go regular exercise during menopause which will help you to burn calories and support weight loss. Before starting your exercise got to a doctor to know what type of exercises is best for your body.

4. Avoid caffeine and drink lot of water to stay hydrated. A bloating can be mistaken for weight gain causing discouragement to your efforts to lose weight.

5. Have a good attitude to support weight loss which will keep you motivated. In case of discouragement or depressed go to a doctor for treatment.
