Drugs That Affects Menopause



Menopause occurs in between the age of 45 to 55 years naturally and it may also occur if you are using a drugs. Here are few drugs that can cause a menopause.

1. Chemotherapy drugs which are used for breast cancer can cause early menopause. About 10-50 percent of women who are under the age of 40 using this drug have had early menopause.

2. Tamoxifen is also used as a medication for breast cancer and it can cause a premature menopause as a possible side effect.

3. The toxins which are found in cigarettes can also cause early menopause. Other toxins include benzene, ammonia, formaldehyde, arsenic, acetone, turpentine, butane and cadmium.
