Premenopause is a phase which leads up to menopause and it usually start in the late 40s.
1. When the woman experiences perimenopause it is a stage where body prepares to cease menstrual cycle. There can be lengthy and heavy periods sometimes, while others may face light periods or even miss periods.
2. Hormone levels such as estrogen and progesterone can differ during perimenopause including changes like mood swings, periods, hot flashes and decreased sex drive.
