Information About Blood Pressure

There are about 2 important numbers related to the blood pressure such as systolic and diastolic. BP can vary depending on a person when he lies down or stands up.
1. Diastolic means the pressure when the heart pushes the blood into arteries. The pressure which is created when the arteries resist blood flow is called as systolic.
2. The reading showing 120 over 80 or less represents normal blood pressure and the reading showing 120 to 139 over 80 to 89 represents pre-hypertension. The reading showing 140 over 90 or higher is known to be high blood pressure.
3. Person with high blood pressure may experience heart attack or even stroke. The person also has an increased risk of kidney and other organ failure.
4. To have a healthy BP, everyone must eat a healthy and low-sodium diet which is rich in fruits and vegetables. Regular exercise can also reduce the risk of developing BP related problems.
