Birth Control Pills And Negative Effects



The birth control pill is very usual form of contraception for the women in most of the countries as it effectively prevents pregnancy. There are many problems that are related to birth control pill.

1. The birth control pill will cause blood clots and mainly for those women who are over 35. The blood clots that are left untreated can be dangerous and it can enter vein causing stroke or aneurysm.

2. The birth control pill also increases blood pressure and women having blood pressure must consult their physician to avoid pregnancy.

3. There are few studies that show increase of breast cancer in women using birth control pill. The risk of breast cancer will be become normal only after 10 years of discontinuing birth control pills.

4. The birth control pills which increase the hormones can also cause headaches. Women having migraines or stress headaches can make their headaches become worse when they are taking birth control pill.

5. There will be negative effects on fertility if the birth control pills are taken for a longer time. The pills can also sexually transmitted diseases like HIV, though it avoids pregnancy.

    I AM 38 YEARS (weight 68 kgs and Height 5 ft .1 inch.)MOTHER OF TWO CHILDRENAGE -11 AND AGE 06.I HAD BOTH CAESARIAN DELIVERY.
    I HAD ORAL CONTRACEPTIVE PILLS BEFORE HAVING THE FIRST AND SECOND CHILD.I NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS.
    FOR THE LAST 5 YEARS MY HUBBY USE TO USE CONDOMS BEFORE SEX–
    NOW HE INSIST THAT I START WITH ORAL CONTRACEPTIVE PILLS.
    1) IS IT SAFE TO HAVE PILLS AT THIS AGE?
    2) WILL IT LEAD TO WEIGHT GAIN?
    3) WHICH IS THE MOST SAFE WITH LESS OR NO SIDE AFFECTS ORAL CONTRACEPTIVE PILL IN THE MARKET?COST IS NOT AN ISSUE.
